This week at my studio, it's our last Summer Season week, so I'm finishing the summer with a fun activity for my students. I teach a "specialty class" that combines several age groups, and sometimes I struggle to find a topic to work with them on that doesn't overload the younger ones and bore the older ones out of their skull.
Today we are reviewing Grand Allegro vocabulary and steps, so I put together this great little pdf download, and a fun activity!
Thanks for visiting! Just so you know, my blog contains affiliate links, which generate income for me at zero cost to you. All reviews are 100% my own opinion. Any item featured may have been received free in exchange for promotion or review, but does not in any way affect my review.
The document outlines the most basic grand allegro terminology, includes pronunciation, and a brief description of the meaning and how to execute the step.
This is also a great hand-out for parents who may be a little unclear on what a foutee or a subersaut is!
The Game
After reviewing the proper execution of each step, put your students in groups. Ask them to connect 3 of the steps on the page, plus two more steps that are not on the page, and then demonstrate it for the class!
