Keep your face clean! All-Natural and Clean makeup products for stage and performance
9:21 AMDid you know that anything you put on the surface of your skin can be found inyour blood within 26 seconds or less? That means all your makeup is literally being absorbed into your blood stream. Do you know what's in that stuff?

- Lots of dangerous chemicals that have been proven to be toxic to humans and cause cancer, organ failure, and more
- ground up bugs for coloring
- products that are tested on animals usually have remnants of the animals left in the final product
- many skin/makeup products contain human male foreskin
- artificial fragrances so it doesn't smell like the nastiness that it is
- Some chemicals that are added in are called "fragrance," even though that's not what they are, (they just have a smell, so they're called fragrance, and the company won't even tell you what it is)
- Formaldehyde (and yes, formaldehyde is necessary for life, but you don't need excess amounts on the largest organ in your body or in your blood)
You might be thinking, "Okay, that's gross, but it wouldn't be available in stores if it was dangerous! all that stuff has to be tested and proven safe!"
Wrong.
No safety tests have to be done on makeup, and only 11 chemicals have been banned in the US from being used in makeup products.
So you can see why it's so important to 1. read the ingredients, and 2. buy from a company you trust.
Here are my list of recommended makeup companies whose products are totally safe! (but always double check, and remember that "all natural" does not mean 100% safe.)
I'll be constantly updating this list as I find new companies!
I'll be constantly updating this list as I find new companies!
- Au Naturale Cosmetics - A great collection of products, and they have one of those great "wheel of fortune" type spin things so you can get a discount.
- Citrine Natural Beauty Bar - They are a sort of "makeup central," and offer natural makeup from a variety of companies! But just because it's "natural" doesn't make it safe. Always check your ingredients, just in case! Citrine also allows you to put together a kit of samples for an affordable price.
- the Detox Market - They have everything, including hair care, skincare/makeup, and wellness products. Get a 10% off coupon when you sign up for their emails!
- Fitglow Cosmetics - skincare, makeup, tools
- Gabriel Cosmetics - similar to Citrine, they have a collection of products from various companies that are safer.
- Malka Cosmetics - Not actually makeup, but skin treatments designed to keep your skin healthy and clean.
- Merkaela - an all-natural beauty subscription kit (not really makeup, but could still be a fun gift for your dancer!)
- Mineral Hygienics - Mineral makeup is pretty much the safest you can put on your skin.
- Red Apple Lipstick (now offering more than just lipstick!)
- Safe and Chic - Organic and cruelty free, and they give you a free gift when you spend $100.
